Journey At Monster
Encounter with Monster.com
Well, it was in the last week of August 2008, when my close friend rang up to informed that there were some openings in monster.com. He requested me drop him there as he had got a call for an interview. He suggested me to take a chance and appear for the same.
I agreed to drop him but informed him that I was away from home and wasn’t in the “formals” for the interview. But he insisted to join him from wherever I was talking to and whatever I was wearing.
When I reached the destination with him, it was 10: 30 am. We were greeted by a very sweet girl named Sharon. She informed me that the interview is will commence at 11:00AM after the arrival of Interviewing HR team. I replied, “fine”. And occupied a seat in the waiting room.
There after a very pretty girl called Indu came. She was wearing dusky brown suit. Initially she bombarded me with few rounds of questions about sales, there after she asked show my skills in salesmanship by convincing her to by a pen from me. I could quite successfully convince her throwing logics as to, why she needs a pen and I had the one which would meet all her need. .
It was Hari sir who took final round of interview. When I came out from Hari sir, cabin, I met Firaz, Venu and Maya who were waiting for what I had just undergone. We were just sitting and getting bored. Little did I know at that point of time that one day me and Firaz would become very close friends, in days to come. Firaz did confessed on one of the occasion that initially he did not liked me.
Training in Monster
Our training was organized at Ameerpeth. Mr. Zach, the , Training Manager (Indian Team), welcomed us (that’s me, Aish, Firaz, Prassana) for imparting training on monster India. At the same training establishment I met James and Sandeep first time, who were taking training from US Telesales
I must admit that Mr. Zach made us all feel at home through his conduct. He thought us the nuances of sales, tools and techniques of sales through his experience. We shared many funny moments during this training phase. He uses to call me “PhilHora”. There I , Firaz , Aishwarya and Prassana became very close friends.
Due to monster for the 1st time in my life I had a grand lunch in Green Park Hotel .
On Floor
On 19 Sept 2009 our training was completed and we reported to Jubilee Hills Office. Anuradha briefed us.
Then on floor the 1st person I met was Ravi, he scared me a lot. He made me to assist Smitha Kotla. That was a lucky day for her as she completed her sales target that day.
After having exposed to some initial training on floor, I was attached to “Place Agency Team” which was headed by Praneeth sir. There I met Sujatha, Neetha, Nazeer, Raghu, Veera, Salim Dosani. They were totally new to me. I never knew that just in fwew days, they would become so close.
I went to PA team, Firaz went to Chinnai team, Venu went to Pune team and Icy went to Mumbai team.
I was extremely lucky to strike the sale 1st with an order of just INR.2000 and was so happy. This could be achieved curtsey Sami bhai…
I got introduced to Lavi, curtsey, her wonderful system. Her system got into some problem and started whistling hard. I teased her so much that she literally got awfully upset. We fought like mads. During break times, I use to pass comments which always irritated her. However, this probably set the pace for both of us to become good friends.
Deepu ah!!!! She was introduced by her late nights stays with credit card payments problems and subbu the great solving the clients problems on phone, I cannt forget that night when I lavi , anjum and madi were trying to do the payment of her client. She was so scared of Mahesh. Finaly subu the gr8 some magic and the payment were done. From that day I, lavi and deepu become close friends I wish u all remember that night
I cannt forget my 1st client of Mr.Khurana of excel groups. “Who is fingering your account sir, I have the ownership with that a/c”. and suju and nazeer were laughing all loud. Suju said,” arey pagal clientan ko aisa nahee boltey.”
I cannot forget neetu got an offer letter from her client when she said I am afraid I will get fired if you will not buy from us.
Like that there are many memories which I cannot put on paper. It you and I can just feel it and laugh about it.
People who will stay with me always as they have huge respects in my eyes I will try to put it words :
Managers:
1. Praneeth sir : I want to tell you that you were my 1st manager and I am extremely lucky to have you as my 1st manager as so was so kind me to forgive for all my stupid activities. Am sorry I couldn’t support u much in sales , but you own a huge respect in my eyes as I have learnt a lot from you will always be 1st person I my life for whatever advise I will be needing. I will miss out Shahi Khana which we use to share with each other on floor .sir , I must say PA team just rocks because of your support. Every1 are good and best in the team but the way you manage them can’t be done by any one. You support us too much. Thank u so much sir, for making me the part of your life and getting introduced me to such a wonder full team mates.
2. Auro Sir: I have no words for you. You are simply the best. No, one can be like you sir. You are one unique person in this world. Simply the best, person in this entire world. The best thing is your smile. We didn’t work together but you were always very supportive to me. The kind of respect you have earned in our eyes can’t be putted or drafted in this letter.
3. Sunil Sir: You are known for your simplicity & the word speaks itself. We haven’t interacted much but still I know that you are simply one of the best managers on floor.
4. Lakshmi Mam: Thank you for being so kind in my last days. I must say you have a very sweet voice on phone. I am very sorry to disappoint you professionally that I left you in between but still you supported me in every aspects. Thank you so much mam and I wish all happiness comes to you
5. Arun Sir: I guess you are the youngest and most energetic manager on floor. Your loud voice tell us about your presence. You might not be knowing that few people call you SRK of Monster . I wish you all the happiness in your life.
6. Akash Sir: you are the cutest and soft hearted manager I ever met. Being so senior to us you never treated us as your juniors. You always supported us in one or other ways.
7. Atul Sir: extremely corporative. The experience you share with me will always serve as a lesson in my life and will always cherish the moments shared with you all as inspiration to excel in my career. Well lot of many people doesn’t know that you have a very sensitive heart. Thank you so much for your support.
Friends in Monster who are my Pillar of life :
1) Subbu the Great: love you bhai. I haven’t bugged any1 that much like I did to you . We became john-bipasha in monster. Lots many things we shared together. Empty pockets and still taking risk for seeing movies. Let others make it or not but we use to make it for every single movie together, be whatever the clock saying. I still remember the tank bund ride bhai. Let whatever people think but you the most important person to me in this place. You always give me correct advise at correct time, who alga bat hay kid may sab ulta sedha kar deta hon. . Every1 knows what you are but just looks for your help only rather helping you. Always is my good navigator as you know I am too bad in finding my ways out, who else can know t better than you, right. God bless you.
2) Deepu: You are my sweet little sister. Love you the most. Form you I came to know what is the meaning of life. How people stay happily by completing their small wishes. You tought me the value of life. You showed me that ki,” yes, isduniya mai ache log or saaf dill key log bhi hotey hai”. I was too casual I never knew the importance of things in my life, being too younger to me you tought me correctly whats important and what’s not. I am very sorry by mistake I hurted your hearts by teasing you, but still want to say you will be very close to me. I really wish from core of my heart that you get the love of your life. 3) Lavi: well lavi what to say about you. You tought me what is the meaning of responsibility is. I never saw such a hardworking and dedicated girl you so young and so correctly focused. The best part is your heart; I never knew that I will get a good space there. I know I had hurted you many times in one or other but you were so kind to forgive me. I did many funny things, pulled your hairs, drooled your chair here n there, and putting my hands behind the hair and disturbing you a lot while you were seriously calling. Pani Puri dates, raining fall mai hum dono bike may, he will miss that. Sharing our experience. I will really pray for you lavi, you deserve to get what you most want for your life. 4) Suju: Sujata the bond which we share neither you can not express nor can I. you can understand me like inside out. You always teach me like my elder sister. I was just a small employee like others but you never treated me apart. You simply use to care for me like anything. You use to call me when I was ill and even was 1st to wish me best of luck for my exams. You use to teach me about people and helped me not only professionally but personally also. Will always miss your leg pulling. I say that you are my clock and I am its second needle which are inseparable & will be together always.
5) Neetu: well neetu you that you and I are almost same. Collection master. I may be shy to any1 but never to you can say whatever without even thinking it correct or incorrect to you is. As I know you will never feel bad as you know me the most. Missed you a lot yesterday.
6) Manjiri and Rizwan: people like you are set examples for love. I have seen your house and even know you bank account status. And will say you have the biggest house in this whole world and you are far richer then any1 in this world. You have lots of problems in your life but still together. Life goes up and down, people comes and goes but love stay for always. Love each-other always. Maintain that richness as money comes and goes never stays for any1. Never forget this bad time as it will be your best friend, you will get to know true side of this world. Please don’t be so sensitive and emotional. Be strong enough to overcome your problems. B a fighter not a Looser. I will always be with u, don’t feel lonely. There is no space for week people in this world, remember you and Rizwan are strength for each other. B always happy.
7) Niti : well the story is same. You setted an example for me and told me the importance of commitment and wants in life. You showed a lot of bravery, not too many people are that brave to face these problems with a smiling face. I hope you understand what I am talking about. I really wish that you get what you want in your life.
8) Vanisha: I really wish I had a sister like you. You are so responsible and know how to manage your professional and personal life effectively. The care and dedication you give to your close ones can’t be expressed but can be felt only. I wish all the wishes for you. God bless u.
9) Asra Appa: we fight a lot we play a lot. U hit me a lot but I must say you’re the best appu I ever got. No matter how much I trouble you, you will forgive me again and again
10) Anjum: well what to say about you. You are just like small cute butterfly which stays in flower but this butterfly is so kind that she never sucks the nectar of flowers feeling that it will get hurt. God bless you and all the best for your studies.
11) Fatty: you my cutest little next door monkey. You’re the youngest sales person in monster and are so successful which makes me proud that I know you. I even want to thank you that due to you I met Raj who is equally sweet and supportive. You rock.
12) Arif Bhai: the moment I say arif, it makes me smile. People think you have attitude but as far I know you have a very big heart which is very soft. God bless u.
13) Veera Bhai: you are angry young man of monster. I really want to learn how you get in the sales by screaming and shouting on your clients. You are just like a coconut. Just too hard from outside but very soft from inside.
14) Swetha Kulkarni.: this girl really knows what the meaning of profession is is. She has been through hell but never letted her work down. She is one of the finest sales people in monster. God bless u.
15) Venky: bhai what to say, u r best of best. I still remember our night bike driving, all fun which we shared together. U rock bhai.
16) Nazeer: bhai I have seen you growing this year. People say lot about you, even laugh at you also but must say you are one of the most responsible people I saw. Being so young you run your entire business and work too hard in monster. You are one of the most important pillars of our PA team. You are 1 pillar at which team can depend. God bless u bhai. 18) Raghu Bhai: I must say in this entire monster you the best sales person. No wonder how you crack big deals so easily. You have been an inspiration and I hope someday I reach the same kind of grip on my work.
19) Hiteshi: I am sorry for teasing you so much. You make all of us proud by doing so well in sales. Keep up the good work as you are one of the most important pillars of Chennai team.
20) Nitin: Bhai u simply rock. U r too good. Dnt speak too much but must say that you are one amazing person. God bless you.
21) Good Morning Brothers : Pratap Bhai and Praveen Bhai are my good morning brothers. They were the people whom I wished 1st on this floor. Pratap bhai ek dum bindass. Parveen bhai little shy but very sweet.
22) Anu: Hi Anu I must say you are the sweetest girl in our floor. I will miss you. Yours and Mine date is still pending anu….. don’t forget that .
